“Be My Disciple” is the curriculum used with our first through sixth grade classes. Families are invited to visit
www.bemydisciples.com to learn more about the program and reinforce what they have learned in class. This program is approved by the Diocese of Dallas for use in our parish.
Allelu! - Our Sunday Visitor
“Allelu!” is the religion curriculum that St. Jude Parish has adopted to fulfill the Faith Formation Mission with our youngest parishioners: preschool ages three and four and kindergarten. Children learn about the God who created them, loves them, forgives them, and calls them to help others. The focus of early-childhood formation is to impart religion and the values of our faith by example more than to teach a great deal of formal doctrine. As far as formal training goes, the children are expected to learn the Sign of the Cross and they will learn the Guardian Angel prayer.
The Children's Ministries
Religious Education (RE) program aims to help children develop a positive sense of their own self-worth. Young children must first come to appreciate themselves before they can come to appreciate God. Their ability to know a loving God comes through knowing people who love them. Their ability to understand a forgiving God comes when they feel forgiveness from others. Their ability to share with others is developed when they experience sharing first hand.
