Mission Statement:
Divine Mercy Ministry of St. Jude Catholic Church – Allen, focused in promoting Eucharistic Adoration and praying for the sick and those who mourn, and empowering the message of The Divine Mercy.
The first and foremost purpose of this Ministry is proclaiming the truth in the Real Presence of our Lord in the Most Hoy Sacrament of the Eucharist; Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, and promoting Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament along with the offering of the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the sick and dying.
The secondary purpose is to bring to a hurting world the consoling Divine Mercy Message and Devotion, revealed to the Church through St. Faustina Kowalska in Poland in the 1930’s.
This Ministry includes a series of Cenacles – a guided study program for prayer communities encouraging the study of the Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the Diary of St. Faustina. It is a faith-sharing community focused on deepening our Catholic faith and the knowledge of The Divine Mercy message, emphasizing that it is much more than a message or devotion, but rather a Way of Life.
Group members who are called the Eucharistic Apostles of The Divine Mercy, meet in fellowship, prayer, bible study, and share their struggles and joys in applying to daily life, and live out this faith together by performing the spiritual and corporal works of mercy for the Parish Community and beyond. They are a way for us to strengthen our understanding and experience of The Divine Mercy as the Lord invites us to share the message of His Infinite Mercy to the whole world.
Members of the Divine Mercy Ministry will meet every first Thursday of the month at the end of the Cenacle study in the Lecture Hall.
