Parishioners are invited to take a tag from the St. Jude Giving Tree which will be located in the Narthex and in the reception area beginning on November 19th, after the 5 PM Mass. Each tag contains the Christmas gift wishes of a person in need. The beneficiaries of our Giving Tree Program come to us via the care counselors at several local elementary schools, the Allen Food Pantry, Victoria Gardens, our People Helping People Program, one nearby veteran’s homes, Missionaries of Charity, and our homebound ministry. While all parishioners are welcome to take a tag, please remember, in doing so, that the gift(s) you are responsible for purchasing, and returning by the deadline, may be the only gifts that person will receive for Christmas!
How it works:
Take a tag from the tree
Register your tag in one of 3 ways:
Scan the QR Code on your tag, which will take you to a webpage to register your tag.
Call Sara Walsh in the Parish office and she will register your tag for you.
Registering your tag ensures that if it is lost, we will be able to connect you with the person you are purchasing gifts for!
Please place UNWRAPPED gifts (including gift receipts) in a CHRISTMAS gift bag(s) and securely ATTACH the original tag to the gift bag. If you are using more than one gift bag for your gifts, please make sure the additional gift bags are marked with the code from the tag. Please do not tie multiple gift bags together. They become too heavy to carry and the gift bags rip.
Return purchased gifts to the Giving Tree in the Reception Area (located outside the Parish Offices). DEADLINE for returning gifts is Saturday, DECEMBER 10TH AT 12 PM.
If you are unable to make the above deadline, please contact Sara Walsh ([email protected]) ASAP. Each tag is specific to a person who is counting on Christmas from us!
Thank you for helping make Christmas a special time for those less fortunate!
