The Homebound and Elderly Visitation Ministries are devoted to alleviating what Mother Teresa called “the terrible poverty of loneliness” by providing weekly visits to the homebound and elderly in our area. Many of our volunteers develop lasting friendships with those they serve, and those friendships strengthen the body of Christ.
Volunteers for the Homebound Eucharistic Ministry bring the “Body of Christ” to those who are unable to attend Mass. If you know of someone who would like the Eucharist brought to them, or you feel called to volunteer with this ministry, please contact us. Training for this ministry will be provided.
The Elderly Visitation Ministry
Volunteers for the Elderly Visitation Ministry share their talents of conversing and listening with the elderly and homebound in our community who otherwise may be isolated. An hour or two a week can provide much needed connection, comfort and companionship for those who are lonely. If you would like to request visitation for a loved one, know of someone who would benefit from a visit from one of our volunteers, or are interested in joining our team of volunteers, please contact Katalina Le.
