 Has your relationship with God grown stale? Has it lost its spark? Are you plagued by a particular sin? Something you can’t shake? Are you just tired from the day-to-day grind of your life? These all show that God wants to give you more. And this Lent can be when God gives it to you.

Join your St. Jude Community on Thursday, February 16th for a short kickoff for our Lenten series from Ascension's Lenten Companion: A Personal Encounter with the Power of the Gospel. The evening will consist of a short video and discussion, and journals will also be available to purchase. 
 

  Join the parish community in seeking to      prepare for Holy Week and experience     
  true transformation this Lenten season   
  with a new Lenten Companion from     
  Ascension and Fr. Mark Toups. 

Because we want this Lent to be a journey we take together as a parish, we will be holding a weekly Lenten Study on Thursday mornings, beginning February 23rd . We will have journals available for $10 each.

Family Stations of the Cross will be held on Thursdays at 5 PM in the Sanctuary.  The dates are: 2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, and 3/30.  Parents are invited to bring their children to the church to experience the Stations of the Cross during Lent. 

The Knights of Columbus will host Parish Lenten dinners from 5:00-7:00 pm on the Fridays during Lent (except for Good Friday).  For 2023, the Lenten Dinners are returning to the in-person format!

Stations of the Cross is a weekly observance on Fridays during Lent. Our Stations of the Cross will be held from February 24^th through March 17^th 2023. The stations start at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary.  You are always free to pray the stations of the cross at any time our church is open.

This March we will be holding a Living Stations of the Cross.  This is an extremely powerful rendition of our Lord’s passion and crucifixion.  Each of the 14 traditional Stations of the Cross are presented through a dynamic way so that you can experience the power of Christ's passion visually and audibly.  

The dates for this year are:
March 24th and 31st @ 7 PM.

  baptism and repentance. 



This Lent, all parishes in the Catholic Diocese of Dallas will have their "lights on" for confession and quiet prayer so that Catholics can come to or return to this incredible source of God’s grace, mercy and healing.

  The tradition of blessing Easter food is widely practiced in Eastern   
  European countries. Traditional foods are brought for blessing to
  symbolize many important aspects of Easter. During the blessing, the
  Priest or Deacon will say a prayer and sprinkle holy water on the food.
  This Holy Saturday, the parish is invited to bring their food to be
  blessed for Easter. This blessing will take place in the Chapel at 10:00 AM. Please feel free to bring any food traditional to your family for your Easter celebration.
