The Traditional Choir leads the music each Sunday at the 8:00 and 10:00am Masses and Holy Day Masses throughout the year. We are experiencing an increase in participation and interest in this group.
Rehearsals are held weekly on Tuesday evenings, (see the parish calendar for times and places) with additional rehearsals scheduled before the Easter and Christmas seasons. All adult choral singers are welcome!

The St. Jude Choristers are a youth choir made up of 3rd through 8th graders. They rehearse every Wednesday in the Choir Room from 5:00-6:00 pm. The goal of this Youth Choir is to provide a musical environment for your youngster while guiding them toward a deeper understanding of God's love for his children - through music and song. The Choristers sing at the 5:00 pm Saturday Children's Mass each month, usually the last Sunday of the month. They also provide music for the Children's Christmas Eve liturgy and First Holy Communion Masses, as well as singing at the Dallas Diocesan Children's Choir Festival in the Spring.

Formed in 2008, the African choir leads the celebration of Mass at St. Jude at least once per quarter, rendering traditional songs and hymns with an African flair. Nigeria and Cameroon are just two of the countries represented by members of the choir. The choir rehearses once per week for 4-6 weeks leading up to their scheduled Mass.

Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
The St. Jude Bereavement Music Ministry is a group of men and women from the parish volunteering their time to sing during funeral Masses and vigil services. While this is a ministry of the church, it is also a precious gift to the family of the deceased. The purpose of this team is to honor our brother or sister in Christ by sharing His gift of song as prayer. You do not have to be an active member of the weekend choirs to be involved.
