My name is Deacon Robert Holladay. My wife is Terry and I have one grown son who lives in Atlanta who is not married. Terry and I have been happily married for fifty years. We have been parishioners at St Jude since 1999 after having moved from Atlanta. I was ordained to the diaconate in February, 2013 after six years of formation through the Diocese of Dallas, and as a deacon I have been blessed to be able to serve in my home parish.
My wife and I fell in love with the people of St Jude the day we first came to visit. Everyone seemed to be caring and concerned that we find a good parish home in Dallas. That has never changed. Our first priest at St Jude was Father Bruce Bradley but he left right after we came and was replaced by Father Tim Church. I had the awesome gift of helping Father Tim on the altar through his Alzheimer sickness and now we are blessed to have another awesome priest, Father Andrew Semler.
My favorite hobby is traveling with writing stories right behind it. My wife and I have been fortunate to travel all over the world and see so many interesting places. I have 10 books published through Amazon and will probably write another one. They are mostly historical religious fiction books.
