The family of the Quinceañera needs to be registered with the parish. The fee for a Quinceañera is $600. The fee includes: parish quinceanera coordinator, musician, facilities, and administrative costs. Priest’s stipend (if desired) is a free will offering.
The Quinceañera needs to have received the sacraments of Baptism, Communion and Confirmation (or be currently enrolled in Confirmation classes). If these sacraments took place at another church, please provide us with a copy of the certificates for those sacraments.
The family needs to fill out the Quinceañera worksheet and pay the deposit at time of scheduling.
A $300.00 deposit is required when the reservation has been approved and the reservation date is confirmed on the Church calendar.
Outside musicians may be used with the understanding that our Director of Music or delegate will help set up and will require a bench fee. Live Mariachi musicians can be used however, a bench fee will be required for their set up. No recorded music will be allowed, that should be saved for the reception.
The remaining fees must be paid 60 days before the celebration.
The Quinceañera will be celebrated within a Mass.
Quinceañera Celebration Information
1. Parents will escort the Quinceañera at the beginning of Mass.
2. Attendants (damas y chambelanes) are allowed as long as they actively participate in the ceremony.
The procession at the beginning of Mass includes the following in the order described:
Padrinos/Madrinas bringing the (religious) gifts that will be presented to the youth
Grandparents
Compañeros de Fe (Faith Companions)
the Quinceañera , accompanied by her parents
the Presider
3. The Compañeros de Fe consist of no more than five young women (there may be fewer) who accompany the quinceañera as companions and as support in living out her faith commitment. The young women may be accompanied by young men as escorts.
4. As many participants as possible are to be practicing Catholics.
5. Religious articles presented to the quinceañera will be blessed 15 minutes before the service begins in order to be included in the service. Preferred to be done at Rehearsal.
6. The quinceañera will provide flowers for her to present to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
7. No video or pictures are allowed to be taken from the altar space. No extra lights for video will be allowed. You will be given time after the ceremony to take additional video and or pictures. A photography agreement will need to be signed if one is being used.
8. No arches or extra decorations in the church (outside of altar flowers) is allowed.
9. The clothing worn by those participating must be suitable and reverent for a religious celebration.
10. The following ministers are to be designated by the Quinceañera Coordinator: (2) Extraordinary Ministers of Communion.
11. We will have a card printed for the girls to use for the Prayer of Thanksgiving.
12. The young lady(s) making her quinceañera will have the opportunity to have a family member bring up the offertory gifts.
